Onward Events Chronology

  • 2016 having completed evaluation and confirmation of intellectual property specific to aerostat operation Onward secures licensing control of valued patented designs
  • Patented designs pertain to four specific US Domestic patents relating to enabling a tethered aerostat to have its lifting gas replenished in real time either by monitoring aerostat envelope pressure differential or by timed replenishment.
  • Early beta testing of Onward’s proprietary payload design after one year was successfully completed in the city of Douala, Cameroon, West Africa. Onward has since designed project specific telecommunications payloads at various frequencies and bandwidth.
  • September 2018 Onward successfully flies an aerostat integrated with its proprietary telecommunications payload to an altitude of 1,000 feet near Indianapolis, Indiana
  • To test the wireless connection during the demonstration aerostat flight numerous and different emails were successfully sent and received throughout the world all through Onward’s proprietary payload
  • October 2018 Onward registers patents with the US Patent Office of its designs specific to enabling aerostats to remain in service when confronting wind speeds well in excess of industry standards, which is now its Onward Wind Tolerance System (OWTS)
  • OWTS patent filings are for both active and passive controls.
  • In the summer of 2019 Onward designs telecommunications networks for three specific regions in Mexico which were Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, and the State of Tabasco.
  • Each network design demonstrated a lower CapEx and OpEx cost and so the greater value of Onward’s designs over conventional terrestrial infrastructure.
  • The networks were designed employing varying frequencies and bandwidth to accommodate both fixed and mobile services proposed by our collaborator.
  • February 2021 Onward requests access to the US Army’s White Sands Proving Grounds for purpose of a five-week proof of concept flight for a customer’s patented electrical power generation technology.
  • June 2021 Following four months of vetting Onward is authorized access to White Sands by the US Department of the Army. Project is pending and authorization remains in place through to December 31, 2021.
  • July 2021 Onward receives approval of all 50 Rights granted in its 2018 Wind Tolerance Patent filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Included among the 50 Rights granted is the combination of Onward’s previously patented helium replenishment and its OWTS design.
  • The USPTO allowance of all 50 Rights granted enables Onward to request accelerated approval of its National Phase registrations for its international registrations in Israel and Europe.
  • August 2021 Onward has delivered requested submissions information for potential projects in the countries of Panama, Mexico and Colombia, South America.
